What Is a Breast Implant Revision?

Breast implant Revision and Removal

Breast implant revision surgery
Breast Implants Revision plastic surgery is a very rewarding procedure for the patient. Moreover, the original breast implants are removed during surgery and replaced with ones that have the approved in size and shape implants by the patient prior to the plastic surgery.
The pocket where the breast implants were placed by a previous plastic surgeon (under the breast tissue or under the pectoralis major muscle) may need to be modified by Moneer Jaibaji, MD, during surgery.

Breast implant removal
At Jaibaji Plastic Surgery we offer breast implant removal. There are two ways to do that; the first is to simply remove the implants leaving the capsule behind. The second is to remove the implant and the capsule. Removing the capsule will require general anesthesia and possibly drain placement.
The Capsule and breast implant removal
If a patient has a textured Biocell implant and concerned about BIA- ALCL ( a form of lymphoma) should contact our office for information and advice on haw to deal with with it. A proper history and physical exam is essential. If the patient have symptoms and signs of lymphoma then the implant and the entire capsule must be remove and any fluid and tissue must be sent for testing.
En block capsullectomy or total capsule remove is essential for treatment of the condition.
