Breast Lift without augmentation

Crescent Lift

This type of Breast Lift is commonly used for small adjustments to the nipple/areola position. It is named for the shape of the skin that is removed. Dr. Jaibaji, following careful marking, will draw a crescent over the top of the areola. The crescent of the skin above the areola is removed and area is then closed, allowing a lift of the nipple and areola.

PeriAreolar Lift (Donut Lift)

Also known as Benelli lift, this breast lift is made with the incision around the areolar. We are able to offer a vertical lift of approximately one to two centimeters.

Vertical Lift (Lollipop Lift)

A lollipop breast lift combines the PeriAreolar Lift with a vertical incision. The side to side closure of the vertical incision pinches the lower bole of the breast and helps push the nipple-areolar complex further up on the breast.

Inverted T Mastopexy

This procedure gets its name from the shape of the incision. Furthermore, this is the most common and versatile breast lift performed. This procedure lifts and reshapes the breast.

Breast lift procedure

Breast lift is usually performed under general anesthesia. First of all, the breasts are marked in standing position by Dr. Jaibaji. The marking is an important part of the procedurea. After marking the patient the surgery is performed. The incisions are placed over the making lines, the excess skin is removed. The areola and the nipple are lifted to an appropriate height determined by the before surgery markings. If an implant is needed; a pocket is created under the muscle to place the implant. The wounds are then closed with dissolvable suture.

How long the procedure take and can it be done in the office?

Breast lift can take anywhere from one to three hours. If additional procedures are done then the surgery can take longer. The surgery can be done at out office based accredited surgery center.

Breast lift recovery

The patient can go home after the surgery. At Jaibaji Plastic Surgery the patient is seen the day after surgery and on regular basis thereafter. Pain is usually controlled with prescribed oral pain medications. We recommend oral antibiotic therapy after surgery. The dressings are changes the next day. If a drain is used it will be removed after 24 -48 hours. Most patients will be able to shower the next day. Dr. Jaibaji will advise you about the best time to start driving and resuming excersize.

Cost of breast lift?

Breast lift cost will vary and depends on the type of lift, if an implant is used and if additional procedures are needed. In general breast lift starts at $7500. The fee include the price of anesthesia, facility and professional fees.

Breast Lift and  Augmentation

Patient who seek a breast lift will consider breast augmentation with the lift. Either saline or silicone implants can be used at the same time as your breast lift surgery. The main advantage of augmentation is to improve the upper pole fullness and give a more perky look to the lifted breast.

Do I need Breast Lift?

The need for breast lift depends on several factors, the location of the nipple in relation to the infra mammary fold, the amount of excess skin, the size of the areola and the patient’s desire and expectations. During your breast lift consultation with Dr. Jaibaji, he will examine your breast and determine if you need a lift. He will also discuss with you the type of breast lift that is best for you.

Breast lift and reduction

Patients who get breast reduction will have a lift and the same goes for patient who get breast lift they will get some reduction. The two are usually combined. However, the only difference is in the amount of breast tissue removed. For patient with reduction more breast tissue will be taken out.

Breast lift before and after

Photos will be reviewed during your consultation with Dr. Jaibaji. Before and after photos are essential for understanding your needs and successful outcome. Scars of different lift types will be shown and patient who need implants will see photos of patient who had that procedure.
